Flying Roadster

6-DOF physics sandbox

A flying-car sandbox driven by real six-axis physics

Nothing is canned animation. Every climb, slide, flip and landing comes from forces: 18 thrusters push a rigid body that can move and rotate freely on all six axes.

18 simulated thrusters

Each thruster's force and torque is calculated every step, so the car moves exactly as the jets push it.

2G surface suction

Near any road, wall or ceiling the car can pull itself on and drive upside down.

Coordinated turns

In the air the car banks to the physically correct angle for its speed, and side thrusters hold the curve.

What does 6-DOF mean?

Six degrees of freedom: moving forward/back, left/right and up/down, plus rotating in pitch, yaw and roll. Flying Roadster lets you control all six, just like a real spacecraft or drone.

How the simulation works

A quaternion rigid body is stepped eight times per frame. Contacts use spring-dampers, wheels have direction-dependent grip, and flight assist can damp spin and level you out for soft landings — or switch it off for full manual control.

Experiment freely

Try barrel rolls through the roll gate, drive along the overhead road upside down, or see how far you can glide. Switch between five cars — they all share the same honest physics.
